Exhibition Catalogs
Date:
1876
Notes:
Appears in exhibition catalog as entry no. 39 (Sale info: To Be Distributed).
This great humorist artist has now a world-wide reputation. His "Jobsiade," "Wine Testers," &c. have served to place him in the first rank of painters. Here we have a party in a cellar, evidently quite tipsy and hilarious, having what is called a "pretty good time generally." The expression on each face is extremely well done. [P. 59.]
