25 x 30. Is after Stanfield's splendid Marine View. It is wind-struck water to the very life. Tide is setting in--wind is setting out, driving vessels before it. The artist has given the whole with much force and truth, commanding the admiration of all whose taste favours marine subjects. [P. 59.]
Catalogue of Premiums. The following large and valuable Collection of Paintings, Statuary, Bronzes, &c., comprises the premiums to be awarded to the subscribers of the Cosmopolitan Art Association whose subscriptions are received previous to the 28th of January, 1858, at which time the Annual Award will be made.
