This beautiful statue is the original by Basio, and represents Florentine beauty, partially nude, preparing for a bath in the Arno. [P. 57; engraving on p. 63 depicts a seated nude female figure who has her legs folded behind her and touches her left foot with her left hand.]
Catalogue of Premiums. The following large and valuable Collection of Paintings, Statuary, Bronzes, &c., comprises the premiums to be awarded to the subscribers of the Cosmopolitan Art Association whose subscriptions are received previous to the 28th of January, 1858, at which time the Annual Award will be made.
