There are no portraits entered for competition which we consider worthy a premium. The portraits of "W.H. Granger, and "W.H. Miller," by W.P. Brannan, (which were entered to late for competition,) and the portrait of "Mrs. Zane," by De Francea, (also too late,) we select for their excellenc in many noticeable points.
