ITALIAN SCHOOL OF THE XVth CENTURY: The Adoration of the Magi. Under a Doric portico are seated St. Joseph, the Virgin and the Infant Saviour, in front of whom are grouped the Magi. The holy infant lifts the lid of the vase, which one of them, in an attitude of adoration, is presenting to him. In the distance is introduced the star, which guided the wise men on their journey. On panel. Circular. 11" in diameter. [P. 7.]
