ITALIAN SCHOOL OF THE XIVth CENTURY: The Virgin and Child seated upon an arched chair, behind and above which are introduced four angels, robed in green. On the right stand St. Catherine of Alexandria, and St. John the Evangelist; on the left St. Agatha and St. John the Baptist. The names of the Saints and the words, "Ave Maria," are inscribed in Roman characters upon the lower part of the picture. On panel and gold-ground. 1'6 x 1'7. [P. 6.]
