The welcome to the Lord of the castle by his Lady and the household, is given by her as she waves her handkerchief and he returns the greeting from his steed. It is a picture of feudal magnificence, and so graphically drawn as to be startlingly real. This is one of the most interesting paintings in the collection. [P. 46.]
