After the Dusseldorf School. This painting tells its own story. A couple of wandering musicians seek rest, and the weaker being in pain, as indicated by the bandaged limb, is lulled to sleep by the tones of the violin. The attitude of the figures and the fine coloring constitute the chief charm of the picture. [P. 38.]
