Murillo (copy after)
Exhibition Catalogs
Appears in exhibition catalog as entry no. 97 (Sale info: $250.00).
Particular attention is called to our copies of Murillo. Nos. 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, and their duplicates, nos. 147, 148, 149, 150, comprise the lot. Murillo's pictures are universally known and admired. His portraitures of childhood are matchless, and in these copies, the best which the galleries of Europe can afford the American purchaser, there is a variety and excellence worthy of the highest appreciation." [P. 32; serials 00320093 through 00320102 index these Murillo copies, which were exhibited under "After Murillo" as an artist's name.]
