Painted by Benjamin West, P.R.A. London. Subject of the picture. "And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple and he healed them. And when the chief priests and ministers saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children coming in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of God, they were sore displeased." Matt. xxi. 14, 15. Size 9 feet 6 inches by 14 feet. This description was written by the late John Robinson, Miniature Painter. [P. 8; excerpted from a detailed description of the work.
