The Emperor Trajan giving Audience to the Roman People, (painting)
Appears in exhibition catalog as entry no. 47 (Sale info: For Sale).
This artist was director of the French Academy at Rome, where in 1672 he painted four pictures for the King of France, of which the present appears to have been one. It is altogether a very learned and agreeable composition. [P. 9.]
