An eminent American physician, was born at Bristol, Pennsylvania, December 24, 1745. He was educated at Princeton College, and took his degree at Edinburgh. He was chosen a member of Congress from Pennsylvania in 1776, and signed the Declaration of Independence, and was Professor of Medicine and Clinical practice at the Pennsylvania University. He died April 19th, 1813, in his 68th year. [P. 8.]
