Of Carrollton, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, was born at Annapolis, in the State of Maryland, on the -- September, 1737. He was a member of Congress from the State of Maryland, and was elected to the United States Senate in 1788; and was subsequently to the State Senate. He died November 14, 1832, aged 95 years.
