"Prayer," says January Searle Deule, "is a holy exercise for all men: and when it is sincere, it brings God very close to the heart." This fine picture by Mr. Healy is the very embodiment of this sentiment. In those large, deep azure eyes, heaven itself seems to be, and the immortality of love and worship. A pure, rapt, devotional feeling animates the whole features, and shows a heart at one with its Maker. [P. 10.]
