Of the United States Navy, born in Boston on February 1st, 1780. He was a brave and gallant officer. He resigned his commission in the navy and was appointed charge-d'affaires at Constantinople; he subsequently returned to America, and was sent out as Full Minister to the Porte, and there died March 28, 1843. His remains were brought to Philadelphia and interred there. [P. 17.]
