One of the signers of the Declaration of Independence; a man who filled many distinguished positions prior to the Revolution; was a humble Christian and an honest man; born at Albany, New York, on the fifteenth of January, 1716; died on the 12th of June, 1778, at York, Pennsylvania. [P. 8.]
