The proprietor of Pennsylvania, and founder of the city of Philadelphia, born in England October fourteenth, 1644; died on the thirtieth of July, 1718; was buried without pomp or useless display, at the secluded village of Jordans, Buckinghamshire, on the fifth of August, 1718. He was one of the most celebrated men of the age in which he lived, and his name will be immortal. [P. 7.]
