Paris Exhibition, 1867, No. 742. A judicial test instituted in Holland by Charles V., with a view to deprive the inquisition of some of its victims. It consisted of weighing persons accused of witchcraft on a large town scale, in order to see if they possessed the requisite weight of a good and true Christian. [P. 28.]
