Portrait Painter, received his first instruction in his Art from Mr. Alexander in New York who took him to England, where he was several years in the family of West. He soon became distinguished for his characteristic portraits and after painting many in England and Ireland, visited New York and Philadelphia and now resides in Boston. [P. 47.]
