No. 35.--THE DEATH OF ADONIS.--Notwithstanding this fine composition has suffered by injudicious cleaning, there is sufficient left to attract the attention of the connoisseur. Had this picture been in a perfect state, it would have been worthy of a prominent place in the finest gallery in Europe.
