"Hemmelinck, (John,) born near Bruges in about 1450 (sometimes called Hans Hemmling and Memling) one of the most distinguished of the early Flemish school." No. 7.--Christ on the Cross--on panel--the two Marys and a disciple at the foot of the Cross. The draperies are very good and the colours very rich; a very good specimen. [P. 11.]
