Member of the New Society of Painters in Water Colours. This noble Roman matron suffered martyrdom under the Emperor Severus. Her father, a Pagan, but full of affection for her, importuned her to fall from the Faith. But his entreaties were in vain.--Vide Milner's "Church History." [P. 23.]
