Exhibition Catalogs
Date:
1876
Notes:
Appears in exhibition catalog as entry no. 111
In many respects this painting has no superior in this Gallery. The clear, crisp air is almost to be seen; the just frozen lake is as bright as a mirror; and the presence of the frost everywhere is so truthfully characterized, as to render the manner of the artist deserving of attention and study.
