Exhibition Catalogs
Date:
1876
Notes:
Appears in exhibition catalog as entry no. 100
Both of these paintings possess much merit. No. 100 is a rich summer landscape, in perfect repose. The deep green, the luxuriant foliage, and the still water in the foreground, where the two cranes are taking fish, compose a winning scene. [P. 29; see entry 01550099 for companion piece.]
