The Wine Testers, (painting)

Exhibition Catalogs
Appears in exhibition catalog as entry no. 65
This is another master-piece by the celebrated humorist-painter. The picture is well known in its celebrity in both Europe and America. The varied expression depicted in the countenances of the group, as they taste and criticise the old wine which the cellarman has reserved to the last as a bonne bouche, are worthy of Hogarth. [P. 24; the words "bonne bouche" appear in italics in the catalogue.]
