Exhibition Catalogs
Date:
1876
Notes:
Appears in exhibition catalog as entry no. 64
A well-executed spectacle picture. The figure of Columbus is very fine. The grouping is admirably arranged. The costuming is thought to be quite like that of the great occasion, and is therefore a pleasing study. [P. 24; the word "spectacle" appears in italics in the catalogue.]
