Here we have a gem. Whether a composition or a reproduction, we know not; but that it is full of poetry is apparent. All this artist's works are pervaded by a fine feeling. As a cotemporary [sic] remarks: "The mist, the lonely firs, and the settling flock of water-fowl, whose screaming one might be excused in listening for, are all alike evidences of the painter's imagination and skill."
