This is painted from a sketch made by the artist during a recent tour through Maine. A stream and wharf in the foreground with a fisherman's cottage--a road with market wagons, &c.--a range of hills at the horizon. A very pleasing picture. [P. 5; this may also be a work listed on p. 8, no. 53, entitled "Maine Scenery," with dimensions 27 x 22 inches, and listed under heading "Pictures Already Purchased for Distribution in December."]
