This is the original Portrait which was exhibited to Congress, at the Capitol; and to which the letters refer written by Judges Marshall, Washington, Peters, Tilghman, Col. Howard, Bishop White, and other distinguished cotemporaries [sic], who pronounce it the best and most expressive likeness of the "Father of his Country." [P. 7.]
Peale's New-York Museum and Gallery of the Fine Arts: In the Parthenon, 252 Broadway, opposite the Park and City-Hall. Admittance 25 cents--Children Half-Price. Ticket for the Year, five dollars. Family Ticket, Ten Dollars.
