Appears in exhibition catalog as entry no. 2 (Sale info: $1500.00).
No. 2. is a full length figure of Venus, 3 feet in height, receiving the Apple from Paride [sic]. It was executed by Tenerani, another pupil of Canova. It was made for the Gallery of Florence, for which he was to receive 3500 crowns. This figure, which is beautiful, speaks for itself, and no description can do justice to the perfection of its form or to the exquisite grace of its attitude. $1500. [P. 2.]
