Hinckley, Thomas H., of Milton, Mass., a very successful painter of cattle. At the sale of the private collection of Mr. John Wolfe, of New York, in 1863, his pictures brought great prices. Among his better known works are "Cattle seeking shelter from an approaching storm;" "Disputed Game;" "The Old Field Horse;" "Landscape with Cows." [Appendix.]
