"The scene is one of common occurrence in the low countries of Flanders, and the artist has succeeded to admiration in conveying the feeling of apprehension in the animals natural to the occasion. The works of Robbe are found in the most important collections, and now that he can paint no more, they will become continually enhanced in value." [P. 20.]
