Type:

Exhibition Catalogs
Date:
1876
Notes:
Appears in exhibition catalog as entry no. 146
(Is a painting of great merit--the Shepherds and their flocks of animals in the foreground are wonderfully relieved, so much so, as to appear like a veritable stereoscopic view. The prospective is excellent, the distance from the foreground to the horizon is immense. This picture was recently purchased in Spain by the present proprietor.) [P. 5; the words "wonderfully relieved" and "stereoscopic view" appears in italics in the catalogue.]
