"(66 1/2 x 44 1/2.) A fine historical composition, by the artist who painted the last portrait taken of the duke of wellington. The figure on horseback, at the left of the picture, is Lord Fairfax. He standing in front is cromwell. the figures standing in the centre are lord and lady ashley. the king's carriage is on the right background, and beside it are ladies of the court. In front of cromwell is a trooper mending his helmet." [P. 9.]
