Description:
Small handmade egg basket with purple designss and purple beadwork along the handle. An egg basket is a small (no larger than 6") rib basket with rounded woven halves that would traditionally be used to keep eggs from rolling against one another int he basket. The indentation at the center also allowed the basket to rest more easily on a person's hip or on the neck of a horse or mule, and thus the basket may also be called a "hip" or "neck" basket.
