This bible was published by Holman Bible Publisher, but no publication information is evident. Holman Bible Publishers, now part of B&H Publishers, is a long-standing American publisher of Bibles and Christian texts.
Evidence of its connection to Lorenzo Dow Turner, as well as clues that point to its approximate vintage, is apparent from numerous personal items and notations found tucked amidst its pages:
Between the Old and New Testaments there is a postcard addressed to Elizabeth Turner, postmarked Rockville, MD, and dated 12 April 1927.
There is a folded handwritten note at page 411 that refers to Matthew 15 & 16.
There is a prayer card bearing an image of Samuel at page 623.
There is a handwritten note at page 1036 that makes reference to the 37th Psalm.
