Kevin Chavous "He Cares" campaign hat (red & white)
Fay Pullen Fairbrother, a native of New Orleans, was a third generation quilt maker who was known for addressing issues which concerned family strengths, fears, and repression. In 1997 her photographs and quilts were finally incorporated into an installation entitled, "Caged Spirits," which used birdcages filled with various objects to symbolizing her work addressing women's oppression. Fairbrother mastered the unique style of mixing photography and quilt making.
