watercolor on watercolor paper

watercolor
Description:
Providing a stark contrast to the typical Aiken watercolor, full of bright colors and pleasant outdoors scenes, this work uses a dark palette of gray and black to capture the act of flames escaping from the windows of high-rise in the midst of the night sky. Silhouettes of small figures on the fire escapes, a mysterious character climbing a ladder leaning against the building, and a colorful cloud of smoke are the focus here.
