Description:
Campaign box for Robert Guillaume's "Benson" television show with US flag decoration covering outside of box, and lock and key. In the sitcom, Guillaume played the title character, Benson Dubois, the director of household affairs for an absent-minded Governor and his daughter. Throughout the course of the series, Benson rose to loftier positions including the state budget director, Lieutenant Governor, and eventually a candidate Governor. The show was a spin-off form the soap opera parody, "Soap," which featured Guillaume as the butler.
