Description:
This Cuban refugee vessel was used in July of 1992 by two young men.
Hermanos Al Rescate [Brothers to the Rescue, Incorporated] is an Cuban American group that rescued Cuban immigrant "boat people" or "Marielitos" from the sea ; the ersatz boat was made by Cuban immigrants.
While the whos and whys of the passengers are lost, this vessel tells its own tale.
Humberto Sanchez, a naturalized Cuban American, recovers and collects refugee artifacts. He resides in Miami, Florida.
