Related archival collection: Dr. S.L. Cook photographs and other material, which dates from circa 1910, contains the personal memorabilia of Dr. S.L. Cook, an African-American physician. Materials include black and white photographs, postcards, tintypes, newspaper clippings and two x-ray images. The images and postcards primarily depict African-American men, women and children. The clippings are from the Evening Star (1919) and the Philadelphia Tribune (1920); the latter contains an advertisement for Madame C.J. Walker's products. Contact the Archivist for more information.
