Multi-media and quilt artist Theresa Polley-Shellcroft began painting and sewing at a young age, taught by her Aunt and Grandmother in West Virginia. She studied art education and painting in college, but did not begin quilting until twenty years later. She now teaches art history at the Victor Valley College in California, and is a member of the Women of Colour Quilters Network.
