Bransom writes of his work and his health and expresses joy at receiving Bond's last letter. On the first page he has sketched himself at an easel, working on a portrait of a person sleeping on a bed in front of him, with the caption "'Piggie' taking a nap, and me doing the rest." Bransom and Bond were married in 1906.
