Shows a ballerina (Toumanova) dancing, her legs and costume made out of what looks like a constellation of stars or a mass of snowflakes. Pencil annotation beneath image: But the snowflakes, hard as diamond butterflies, [?] stopped in mid-air, like a net of stars that no one, not even Tamara can move among!
Collage of Tamara Toumanova dancing, between 1940 and 1970. Joseph Cornell papers, 1804-1986, bulk 1939-1972. Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution.
