Mary Thayer, Abbott Handerson Thayer's daughter, describes her daily activities which often include walks in the woods, seeing wildlife, boating excursions, and posing for her father. She also describes the weather, the frequent visitors which the family received, and their move from Woodstock, Vermont to Dublin, New Hampshire. She indicates that the entries are copied from a calendar, and that some events described occurred in 1887.
