Photo shows Stella standing and holding a neighbor's child (whom she identifies on verso as "Alvin's baby") amidst a flock of chickens. Jackson Pollock can been seen going around the end of the barn in the background. On verso is a note from Stella addressed "Dear Aunt" in which she describes some of her daily domestic activities.
