Architect Eero Saarinen often illustrated his letters to his second wife, Aline. This note, written in 1953, the year they married, is evidence of his intense productivity. He was working on at least four projects at once. The following year he completed his master plan for the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. The Michigan Music School, which he sketched in plan and elevation, was finished in 1964.
