He continues with entries about classes with William Merritt Chase, activities as a tourist and student, and mentions numerous companions, especially [Nina E.] Allender, [Alice] Corson, [Frank Russell] Wadsworth, and [Ernest] Zell. He records criticisms from Chase, trips to Amsterdam and London, visits to galleries, and reactions to the works seen at various places.
