Walkowitz in his studio at 8 East Twenty-third St., New York City, 1908, holding a pallette and brushes. His painting In the Opera (on the easel) was one of twelve works that he exhibited in the 1913 Armory Show.

Identification on verso (handwritten): The studio of Abraham Walkowitz, 8 East 23rd Street New York; the picture was taken the year of 1908.
