These four panels in the Hospital Corps School, Norfolk Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Va., were painted by a naval artist, Lt. Samuel Bookatz, USNR. They are the first of several murals which Lt. Bookatz will paint for various naval hospitals and other medical installations. Lt. Bookatz's mural painting of the hospital ship RELIEF and SOLACE and the old hospital ship RED ROVER are in the library of the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. Lieut. Samuel Bookatz, USNR, applying the finishing touches to one of his panels in the Norfolk Hospital Corps School.
